Following any death there are always a number of actions which needs to be followed to meet the needs of the law. For example, all deaths should normally be registered within 5 days (although this can be extended by another 9 days if the registrar is notified that a “medical certificate, cause of death” has been issued and either given to the family or sent to the Coroner.
